Schools receive funds, donors get tax receipts

Once funded, schools receive 88% of funds. Donors receive an official tax receipt from Childs Play Foundation, Inc. (EIN 86-2707543).

Why I Built AlumniUp

I am Risha Smith, a graduate of Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School. Like so many Detroit alumni, King High gave me the foundation I needed to build a career in engineering and cybersecurity. But when I looked back at my school, I saw coaches buying equipment out of their own pockets, teachers funding classroom supplies, and programs struggling to survive.

AlumniUp is built for Detroit, by Detroit. Every feature, every decision, every partnership is designed to put resources directly into the hands of the people who need them most: our coaches, teachers, and administrators. With the support of Childs Play Foundation, every donation is tax-deductible and every dollar is accounted for.
